Lincoln Speedway race officials are still holding out hopes of starting the 2024 season this coming weekend at the 1/4-mile dirt track located in Lincoln, IL. It was almost twenty-five years to the day, that he was critically injured in a midget crash at Angell Park Speedway. Billings suffered a traumatic brain injury in the incident. Jones Sweeps MARA Field at Lincoln

Lincoln, Illinois (July 12, 2024) - Parker Jones conquered the Midget Auto Racing Association field at Lincoln Speedway Friday night earning his second victory of the season. Jones swept the night earning fast time, a heat race win, and the feature event. Twenty-one MARA Midgets signed in to do battle on the evening setting up for three heat races. The Advanced Fastening Supply Badger Midget Auto Racing Association races tonight, Sunday, July 14 have been cancelled due to heavy overnight rain. The series will be back in action next Saturday as they invade Wisconsin's North Woods region at Eagle River Speedway. Cody Weisensel currently leads Todd Kluever and Brandon Waelti in Badger points. More information on the Eagle River event will come in the ensuing days.
