He didn't make every Advanced Fastening Supply Badger Midget Auto Racing Association event in 2023, but Jacob Goeglein still managed to crack the top 25 in points. Take a few minutes to get to know the Sullivan, Wisconsin driver:

BMARA: Were you a fan of racing before you got behind the wheel and if so, who were your heroes and what tracks did you attend?
Jacob: The first tracks that I went to were Angell Park (Sun Prairie WI), Eagle Raceway (Eagle NE), and Cornhusker Raceway Park (Waverly NE) at a very young age. I didn’t go many times throughout the years due to me being involved in baseball and football growing up. I have always enjoyed any form of motorsports but never fully invested into it at a young age until I was older and able to race.
BMARA: Give us a synopsis of your racing career:
Jacob: I've been racing for 11 years in Wisconsin and the surrounding area with both the midgets and micro sprints. I raced the micro sprint from 2013-2016 and the midget from 2017 to current day.
BMARA: How much time do you spend on the car each week during the season?
Jacob: Roughly 10-15 hours a week
BMARA: What is your day job and how does racing fit in?
Jacob: I am a welder/fabricator at Bryant Products in Ixonia, Wisconsin. It works great with racing because I work four ten-hour days, Monday-Thursday. So that gives a 3-day weekend most of the time depending on overtime. It allows me to work on the car or sometimes take a weekend to go racing on a Friday or Saturday when we are not racing with Badger. Also, I like the fact that I’m able to make repairs on the car.
BMARA: What's something interesting the fans might not know about you?
Jacob: I went To Madison Area Technical College for welding and fabrication, plus got a small business degree in a two-year span. I would like to start my own fabrication shop in the future. When I am not racing or working on the car, I am in my shop behind the house, working on projects for side money.
I also enjoy golfing, fishing, or watching a football or baseball game.
