Dave Fitzgerald of Salt Lake City, Utah, USAC's 1985 and 1986 Utah Supermodified Champion, perished in a private aircraft accident in Idaho Tuesday. In 1986 he scored USAC National Supermodified victories at Boise, Idaho and Spokane, Wash. USAC extebds its deepest sympathies to his family and friends. He was 57.
