The first race of the season at Sandia Speedway had mixed results for the team. Michael started 2nd in his heat race and took the lead on Lap 4 and won. He started 7th in the main and had a great start and moved to 2nd place on Lap 2. The team incurred a catastrophic engine failure at the 2nd NMMRA race of the season. Michael was running second in the heat race when a valve broke causing major damage to our motor with a whole in the block as well as damage to the head. Thanks to John McGerigle to get the motor out of the car and torn down so we can rebuild. Also big thanks to Charlie Fegan who just completed rebuilding our back up motor. The team will be ready for the 3rd NMMRA race on 5.18.19.
