Saturday night's scheduled USAC Eastern HPD Midget race, originally scheduled at Concord, N.C., has been cancelled and moved to Franklin County Speedway in Callaway, Va. Franklin County Speedway also will welcome the Eastern HPD Midgets on June 21. Scott Hunter currently holds a two-point lead over defending series champion Chris Lamb entering tonight's (Friday) race at Ace Speedway in Altamahaw, N.C.

The Grays Harbor Raceway Season Opener has been postponed until next Saturday, May 17th. There has been a tremendous amount of rain over the past couple of days and more is predicted overnight and at times tomorrow. After conferring with the track crew, it was obvious that the chances of getting the track in good racing condition was unrealistic. "Having not run on the track at all this year, it is still very soft and the on and off rain is not helping the conditions....more

Bradford, VT; Adam Pierson of Bradford, Vt. extended his lead in the USAC DMA Midget standings as a result of Saturday night’s 25-lap feature victory at Bear Ridge Speedway. Pierson’s second win of the season came after he passed Scott Viets on lap eight and led the rest of the way to beat Josh Sunn, Tim Hodge, Ray Miller and Jeff Champagne.
