Driver Profile

As a charter member of the Sprint Series of Texas since its inception by Smiley Sitton in 2005, Mike Herring has always had a deep passion for racing. With growing up near dirt tracks as his primary influence, in 1976 Herring was able to figure out how to convert '55-'57 Chevys into racecars. Since his Rookie of the Year season, he can typically be found inside a racecar any particular weekend. Racing into his 60's, Herring is still one of the highest rated drivers in the SST where he has several Feature wins under his belt. As the 2015 season approaches, Mike looks forward to remaining competitive and having fun with his friends.
