Driver Profile

Derrick was apart of dirt track racing from the start of an early age. He first got involved in racing when his Grand-Father (Sam "SAMBO" Wynn) raced in the early days with (Tommy Rascoe & Bill Brock) at the old Hilltop in Haughton, Louisiana. Derrick spent his time in his Grand-Father's shop turning wrenches,and sweeping the floors, and dreaming big dreams of racing.
He too, felt that he would make the family proud by continuing the Family name of racing and of course Daniel Motorsports. Derrick has Won 14 Feature's, and has a 2007 Ark-La-Tex Factory Stock Championship Title under his belt. He has big plans for the 2014 Season, and seem's to be a very great contender in his class. You will mostly see him finish in the Top 3 each weekend, and gains the respect of many fellow drivers, and fans where ever he goes. Local Fans can mainly see the D28 in action on Friday or a Saturday night at: Ark-La-Tex Speedway, Boothill Speedway, Chatham Raceway, or a few tracks around the Arklatex area.
