About Jacob

I started martial arts in 2010 when I was for years of age, I got my first degree black belt at the age of 10, second degree black belt at age 12, and third degree blackbelt at age 17. I got my assistant instructor certificate in 2018 while testing for my 2nd degree black belt. I started traveling for tournaments at age 8 and won 73 divisions, placed 2nd 102 times, placed 3rd 46 times, and didn't place too many times to count. I've won one grands (championship) back in 2018 at the Natural State Classic.
I got the nickname "The Karate Kid" from Brian Williams (Our graphics guy / racer) after my dad told him how I defended a special needs student at my old high school. Growing up I was called the karate kid because I used to have an ego (I still do of course just not big) and I'd always show off at the talent shows of each grade, each year surpassing everyone's expectations which made one of my teachers in 2nd grade to be the first to call me "Karate Kid" the "The" got added on in 3rd grade when me and my friends were jumped and myself and one other friend defending ourselves and the others in the group, the principle called me "The Karate Kid" and even now people I went to school with in elementary school remember me by that.
I don't do martial arts anymore, but it will always be part of me no matter what. I had the right to say I retired because of my reasoning for leaving and because of the 14 years I dedicated everything to towards it.
Now, I try to follow my dad's footsteps by racing, to surpass him and make my own road, I have the same dream as everyone other racer, win. Races and championships.
(If you couldn't tell, I was a nerd in high school because I loved essays)

Career Highlights

My first race - was running 4th in the heat race when I hit the wall and was out for the rest of the night.
My 5th race - Dominated my heat race starting on pole and winning, and was dominating the feature enough to where it was my race to win, but spun out with 3 laps to go.
