About Elliott

Elliott Brayboy
Driver of the #2B (GHOST)

Competitive. Fearless driver. Skilled mechanic. Devoted family man, father of four. God fearing. Buford, Georgia, native Elliott Brayboy is all of those things and much more.

Growing up was not easy for Brayboy, however, he has used those struggles for his motivation to become the best version of himself. Born June 4, 1983. His mother passed away when he was only 4 years old. His father was absent from his life. His aunt raised him along with 8 other children in the home. Brayboy went on to become an amazing athlete, playing football for Buford High School and went on to win the state championship in 2001.

In 2016 he experienced his first taste at the track with long time friend, Tim Stephens. He then developed a passion for racing and he instantly fell in love with the sport. If you didn't know him, you would think he was born with a steering wheel in his hand and racing fuel in his blood. Having no previous racing experience, especially dirt track racing, Brayboy quickly realized this sport was a challenge he absolutely wanted to conquer. Despite the many challenges, Brayboy pressed on, and won his first track championship in 2017 at Winder Barrow Speedway, as well as other short-track races throughout the region since then.

Aside from Tim (as mentioned above), there are many people in Brayboy's life who have been instrumental/inspirational-his Aunt Levida Brown, Aunt Katy, Ed Pugh , Ray Moore, and jj Garrett, just to name a few.

In closing, Wendell Scott, was one of the first African-American race car drivers in NASCAR; he broke the stock car color barrier and was known for his toughness and tenacity-these are some of the traits that Brayboy also possesses and will ultimately mold him into an unstoppable force.
