On May 23, 1954, Huset’s Speedway opened as a dark, unsophisticated facility. The track was the same configuration as today, but didn’t include modern staples like a wall, fence, seats, lights or even concession stands. Fast forward to Sept. 13, 2015, Huset’s Speedway will transition to its next chapter known at Badlands Motor Speedway. McCarl wins thrilling Huset’s fina...

Terry McCarl pocketed $10,000 Sunday night, winning the final feature event at Huset’s Speedway. McCarl stalked Dusty Zomer as the Buffalo Wild Wings 82 led the opening seven laps. McCarl was able to pilot his 24 around the bottom of the speedway and into the lead on lap eight. From there, McCarl would drive to the victory.
