(January 12, 2023) Ashton Torgerson was being held for observation at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after a wreck during the main event of Wednesday night’s race at the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals. Torgerson, 16, of Medford, Ore., was transported shortly after the wreck but was awake and alert when he was transported. We have had many curious visitors during Chili Bowl Week at the track. When they stopped by they were able to see a few of the projects we have going on at the track. We have moved the backstretch wall in an effort to make the racing better. Just a few hours ago we were able to finish putting the fencing back up.
