Long-time Badger Midget Series car owner Lyle Corrigan who guided Kevin Olson to his first of five Badger championships, died at the age of 86 in Loves Park, IL, on Tuesday, June 27. Born August 7, 1930, Lyle was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. In 1970, he and his wife Marianne purchased Corrigan Manufacturing, Inc., which was started by Lyle's father in 1929. Unfortunately Mother Nature Rained us out for Fri Jun 30th. Glen Johnson owner of Golden Triangle called and said the had 3" of rain this morning bringing their week long rain total to 11". He made every effort to get the race in but with the rain they got today it just was not going to happen. Sat July 1st at Gator Motorplex is still a 100% a go.
