On June 1st was a turn in the right direction for the race team. Ashley was scheduled to start 18th in the makeup feature but with 3 cars not showing up it put her in the 15th starting position. She ended up finishing a strong 9th place. Later in the evening, she qualified 3rd in her heat race which led her to a 5th place starting position in the feature, however, mother nature had better plans.
