It was a tradition since 1980, when a big race was thought of to attract some of the best in small block modified racing across the Northeast. The Pabst Shootout came to life in late July of that season and drew big names along the way. Bob McCreadie took the checkered flag in that first ever event that was 100 laps in distance. It was not an easy field by any means as behind him at the checkered flag were a pair of Can-Am legends with former track champions Tony...more

However, Mother Nature had other plans forcing the cancelation of one of the Crown Jewel races of the year. Heavy showers and thunderstorms were forecasted for the Town of Orleans near race time and with drivers coming from all over the Northeast for three major series races, Can-Am Speedway management along with DIRTCar Northeast officials and officials...more

It’s the first and only time the fans get the chance to see it in 2024, the ladies get a chance to get behind the wheel this coming Friday night at the Can-Am Speedway as it is Ladies Night with a full slate of racing in all five divisions and a popular Powder Puff event also. Since we last raced on June 29th many drivers have taken in some action at neighboring speedways to get some extra seat time behind the wheel, but will be laser focused when the green flag drops...more

The Northern region was hit with heavy rains and storms from Tuesday through Thursday, leaving behind plenty of standing water at the track in its path. With the speedway and some of the parking areas seeing plenty of water, the decision was made to cancel Ladies Night at the Speedway by...more

Mother Nature was not a factor at the Can-Am Speedway this past Friday night. Drivers in all five classes were happy to be back, along with a grandstand full of excited race fans.
