Merrill, MI – Friday, August 19th the Great Lakes Sprints organization is putting on the first annual Mark Strpko Memorial Race to pay tribute to a fellow sprint car racer, a racing supporter, a racing trouble shooter and most of all a good friend. Some ups and downs at Lawrenceburg Speedway last night. Finished 2nd in my Heat. Was running 5th in Feature when got a flat tire during a red flag. Hustled to the work area and the Bibent Team got my tire changed but I had to restart 22nd. Raced hard and finished 8th. Happy to salvage a top 10! On to my next race.

We have had many curious visitors during Chili Bowl Week at the track. When they stopped by they were able to see a few of the projects we have going on at the track. We have moved the backstretch wall in an effort to make the racing better. Just a few hours ago we were able to finish putting the fencing back up. Once done the wall has been moved outward about 15-20 foot in total. Still have to fix the banking and shape the corner on exit with the widening. There are...more

The Kenosha County Fair’s Wilmot Raceway will have a new look to go with their exciting schedule. The third-mile clay oval will have completed a major offseason project when the gates open on opening night May 6th, as new aluminum bleachers will have been installed. As we get ever so close to the first laps of the 2023 season at Tulsa Speedway. We wanted to talk about the track surface. After we moved the wall during the chili bowl. The next process was re-shaping the corners for the exit off turn 2 and entry to turn 3. Once on the track with equipment and got started we found that the foundation under the clay wasn't ideal.
