Started off my night at Lawrenceburg Speedway great. Finished 3rd fastest in hot laps and won my heat! Started on the pole in the Feature, but the #10 Epoxy Systems International Sprint was way too tight in turns 1-2 and I couldn't hammer into them like I needed to, so I finished 6th. With the warmer temps finally on a Saturday at LPS 18 non wings were in the house. Qualifying was led by Geoff Ensign in group one with a 13.518 and Brent Beauchamp in group two with a 13.459. Both of these guys definitely showed their speed in the heats also as they both won their heats coming from the 4th spot. The scheduled May 14h race at the Dirt Oval @ Route 66 in Joliet is cancelled. There is current uncertainty regarding the future of the dirt oval that we'll not be settled by our race date, thus the IRA 410 and wingLESS portions are cancelled, as is the entire event. wingLESS still race that weekend as Wilmot is running Sunday May 15th.
