WILMOT, WI (12/9/2021) – The AMSOIL INC. USAC Racing National Sprint Cars will make their historic return in over 10 years to Wilmot Raceway. The featured event is scheduled for June 25th, 2022. The last time the USAC National Sprint cars visited Wilmot Raceway was June 2012. Jon Stanbrough from Brownsburg, IN was the feature winner that evening. USAC National Sprint Cars are a touring non-wing series that race from coast-to-coast with an average of 50+ races per year.
The 1/3-mile dirt oval is current home to the Wisconsin wingLESS Sprint Series, a growing non-wing class that boasts an average of 35 cars per night. With the rising popularity of non-wing racing in southern Wisconsin, timing was right to bring back this monster horsepower class of cars.
Wilmot Raceway hosts several large events throughout the season including the NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, FloRacing All Star Circuit of Champions, Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprints and the Dirt Kings Late Model Tour. Wilmot is excited to add a 410 non-wing event to the already impressive list of wing and late model races being hosted in 2022.
