Inside Line Promotions – CONCORD, N.C. (Nov. 11, 2021) – Brian Brown capped the season last weekend with a podium finish during the NGK NTK World of Outlaws World Finals.

It marked his fourth podium of the season with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series.

Nov. 5 – The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C. – Qualifying: 3; Heat race: 1 (2); Dash: 6 (3); Feature: 3 (6).

“We went out late and qualified well,” Brown said. “Then we were able to win the heat race. We started third in the dash and went backwards a little bit so we made some changes for the feature. Danny, Nate, my dad and Ben did a great job. We were able to settle in there around third or fourth at the beginning. We pounced when they had a couple of double-file restarts toward the midpoint of that race. We took the lead in turns one and two. When we got to turns three and four (David) Gravel tried to put a slider on me. We were able to drive around that. At that point I thought we had a good chance to win that race, but the yellow flag came out before I could get back to the flagstand. We had another restart and I was able to get the lead again, but couldn’t clear him enough to be able to block on the other end so we settled into second. We started chasing rubber in the last couple of laps and let Kerry Madsen by. It was an awesome run for us with the quality of cars there. That says where we are as a program. I like the direction we’re going.”

Nov. 6 – The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C. – Qualifying: 15; Heat race: 8 (8); B Main: 4 (9); Feature: 17 (24).

“We went in with high hopes because of Friday’s performance,” Brown said. “You just can’t get behind the eight ball with these guys. We didn’t qualify well and had to run the B Main. We were able to pass the No. 15 at the end to get the final transfer. We passed a lot of good cars to get up to the transfer. Then we made too big of a swing at it in the feature to get better because of where we were starting. We were too tight the whole feature. I felt proud we unburied ourselves after our qualifying result, but you don’t want to end the year with a 17th-place finish. It shows the parity in the sport. You better be on it from the time you drop your back door or you won’t compete for wins.”

SEASON STATS –
