Wentworth, NH- On Saturday September 11 The JRC Transportation Sprint Cars of New England gathered at The RumTown Speedway for its final event of the 2021 racing season. With a short field of cars it was still a good race for the cars on track. The FK Rod Ends / O'Reilly Auto Parts heat race it was Clay Dow with the win to set the field for the 25 lap A main. The A main saw only six cars start the race. On the start it was Doug McPhail getting the lead over Rick Stone and set the pace. On lap three Jake Williams moved around Stone to take over the second spot. Mike Netishen and Clay Dow were side by side for many laps fighting for the third spot. On lap eleven Netishen spun his machine around in turn four while getting sideways on the highside. On the restart McPhail again controlled the race with Williams chasing him and Dow in tow. Netishen would get around Stone and Toby Stark who was making his first winged sprint car start. Netishen would battle Dow for the third spot but when the checkered flag fell it was Doug McPhail picking up his first winged sprint car win leading all twenty five laps. Jake Williams was second with Clay Dow in third.
With his third place finish Clay Dow is the 2021 JRC Transportation Sprint Cars of New England Champion . Jake Williams was second in the title chase. Dow is now a two time SCoNE champion, he won the title in 2017 also.
We would like to THANK all our partners who stood with us through a rough season with a car count. Even with a small car count the racing was good at most events.
