IRA's AutoMeter Wisconsin wingLESS Sprints are coming off a doubleheader weekend with Tim Cox scoring the win at Wilmot, and Ryan Zielski taking the Wilmot Championship, and then Sunday Ryan Marshall won at Angell Park as part of the Firemen's Nationals. Three point races remain on what has been a very busy schedule. This Saturday the group is part of the big Wildman Watson special at Wilmot, with the championship coming down to a doubleheader weekend Sept 24-25 with events on the Dodge Co Fairgrounds half-mile on Friday, and concluding as per tradition with the Wisconsin Sprint Car Championships at the Plymouth Dirt Track on Saturday. Marshall holds a slim 11 point lead of Zielski, while veteran and past champion Tim Cox is just 42 markers back. Chris Klemko sits in 4th with a 36 point edge over Jimmy Sivia. The series has averaged, impressively, over 35 cars per event. The WI wingLESS also has 5 non-point events left on the schedule, Sept 18 at Wilmot in a support role for the Bumper To Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints, plus Oct 1-2 at Beaver Dam Raceway, and then concluding Oct 22-23 at I-69 Speedway in Gas City, IN.
