OCRS Sprints come to Tulsa Speedway Friday

by John Rittenoure - TULSA, Okla. (September 5, 2021) - It has been 16 years since the Oil Capital Racing Series has raced at Tulsa Speedway. That was the old Tulsa Speedway. Friday the AmeriFlex / OCRS IMCA Sprint Cars return to Tulsa with a stop at the New Tulsa Speedway.

Joe Bob Lee of Cache heads up the points standings and will lead a field of drivers from throughout Oklahoma and surrounding states to Tulsa to race for a purse that will pay $1,000 to the A-feature winner.

Lee has two wins on the season but close behind is Casey Wills of Sperry. Wills is still looking for his first win of 2021 but has remained in championship contention with six top five finishes. Veteran Danny Wood of Norman sits in third with two victories, Alison Slaton of Edmond is holding down fourth while Broken Arrow’s Terry Easum rounds out the top five.

B-Mods, Factory Stocks and Mini Stocks will be racing on Friday’s show.
