POWRi National Midgets Points Battle is Heating up for The Labor Day Spectacular at Lake Ozark Speedway

Belleville, IL. (08/30/2021) With twenty-one races under the Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget League banner this season, the series is buckling down and getting ready for the two-day show at Lake Ozark Speedway Saturday, September 4th and Sunday, September 5th. As the season is winding down the Championship Points battle is heating up. Less than 1000 points separate the top four from each other with only eleven races left on the schedule.

A rookie and Points leader, Bryant Wiedeman sits atop the charts and leads season points heading into this weekend. Wiedeman of Colby, KS. is the driver behind the No. 01 for the Keith Kunz-Curb Agajanian Motorsports stable. Wiedeman has stayed consistent throughout the 2021 season with 11 top five finishes, and 19 top ten. He is still searching for that first win, and is looking to capitalize this weekend and stretch his points lead.

Brent Crews of Denver, NC. who is the diver behind the CBIndustries No. 86, sits only 150 points back from Wiedeman for the points battle. The 13 year old rookie has turned heads and captured three wins thus far, as well as 12 top five and 16 top ten finishes. Crews is now the youngest winner in Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget History at the young age of 13. His best finish is 6th at Lake Ozark Speedway, he will be looking to improve a few spots better this coming weekend.

Ryan Timms, another rookie and the second driver for the CBIndustries team has been one of the most talked about drivers, whether it be behind the wheel of a midget, or a Wing Sprint Car. Timms sits behind the wheel of the No. 85T and has earned himself one win, five top five and 13 top ten finishes this season with the POWRi series. Timms' win came to him at none other than Lake Ozark Speedway back in May, and he picked up a win the same weekend in his family owned 360 Wing Sprint car as well. Timms sits back only 840 points from Wiedeman in the Points Championship battle.

You can catch all Lucas Oil POWRi drivers in action for the two-day spectacular this weekend for the Twelfth Annual Lake Ozark Speedway 360 Nationals.
