PETERSEN MEDIA: Haley Arnold will again shed her top wing, and return to action at the Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, MO tomorrow night during Fall Series action at the speedway.
Just a week ago, Arnold made her non-wing debut at the speedway, and she scored an eighth place finish.
With last week being a learning experience, Haley is hopeful this week will get off to a better start and she can be competitive all night long.
Being used to the down for of a wing during her young career, she battled a ‘loose’ car in hot laps, so her Arnold Motorsports team made a few adjustments for her heat race, and she then advanced to fourth place from her eighth place starting position transferring directly to the main.
During the feature event, Arnold quickly capitalized on a few mistakes that shook out in front of her, and jumped into the fourth spot.
While running fourth, Haley got out of shape, and made a few small mistakes toward the end of the race, and ultimately faded back to the eighth spot.
“I had a lot of fun last week at Valley, and am glad we get to go back and do it again this week,” said Arnold. “Now that I have a little bit of a comfort level without the wing, I’m hopeful we can get off to a better start, and hopefully improve on our eighth place finish.”
