ASCS Sooner Region On Track This Saturday And Sunday

(August 23, 2021) A pair of $2,000 to win, $300 to start events are on tap this weekend for the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products with stops at Caney Valley Speedway on Saturday, August 28 at Creek County Speedway on Sunday, August 29.

Both nights are presented by Terry Mattox Promotions, and will offer bonus money with $100 to win Heat Races and an extra $100 in the A-Feature to the Hard Charger.

The trip to Caney is the first on the season for the Sooner Region, but not the first ASCS event at the Kansas oval as Dylan Westbrook topped ASCS National Sprint Week competition a month ago. In the last Regional visit on October 10, 2020, Washington’s Seth Bergman topped the night’s action.

Saturday, August 28 at Caney Valley Speedway opens at 4:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 6:30 P.M. and racing at 7:00 P.M. (CDT).

Tickets are $15 for Adults, $10 for Seniors, $5 for Youth 6-12, and free for Kids five and under. Pits are $35. Other classes include USRA B-Mods, Factory Stocks, Pure Stocks, and USRA Tuners. A regular stop for the American Sprint Car Series since its inception, 140 times to be exact in both National and Regional action, Creek County Speedway appears on the Sooner Region lineup six times in 2021, with this Sunday being Round 4 for the Sooner at the quarter-mile.

Sunday, August 29, opens at 4:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 6:30 P.M. Racing gets underway at 7:00 P.M. (CDT).

Tickets are $20 for Adults, $5 for Youth 11-14, and free for Kids 10 and under. Classes include Dyno Services of Oklahoma Champ 305 Sprints, NOW600 Sooner Dwarf Car Series, and NOW600 Mini Mods. Creek County Speedway is located at 18450 West Hwy. 66 between Sapulpa and Kellyville.
