Belleville, IL. (8/16/2021) Showcasing the top talents from around the country the Lucas Oil Minn-Kota Lightning Sprint Summer Shoot-Out out pull-out all the stops for the final night of competition with blazing fast lap-times and side-by-side adrenaline filled battles. With an eager twenty-nine entries ready for racing, Braden Chiaramonte would emerge victorious using speed all event and a mid-race pass for the lead to gain the feature win as well as the over points championship for the four-day showcase.
Early on-track racing would find Alex Truscinski, Travis Surerus, Braden Chiaramonte, and Sheldon Creed grabbing heat race wins as Bryce Haugeberg would earn the semi-feature victory. Braden Chiaramonte would net the high-point award after securing his heat race win from the fifth starting spot to gain the pole-starting spot for the thirty-lap feature.
With a locked-and-loaded field set for racing action, Chiaramonte and Dalton Sexton would lead the feature’s twenty-four drivers to the initial green-flag launch with the speedy Dalton Sexton taking over the point into the first couple of corners.
Quick racing would ensue with Sexton leading the pack as Chiaramonte and Alex Truscinski battled for the runner-up placement with Chiaramonte finding the preferred line. Once Braden was able to find the quickest path around Buffalo River Speedway the fourteen-year-old California native would set his sights on the front-running Sexton.
Flying to the front using a daring inside-line maneuver through turns three and four would see Chiaramonte overtake the leading Dalton to never relinquish the top spot for the remaining circuits of the thirty-lap feature.
Using a late-race restart, Sheldon Creed would flex his driving might by running down the podium racers and into the runner-up finishing spot as Alex Truscinski stayed among the front all-event placing third. Establishing himself as a front-runner wherever he races, Grant Sexton would back up his Night One win with a solid fourth-place finish as Chase Fischer would drive his way to round out the Buffalo River Speedway top-five for the final night of the Lucas Oil POWRi Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints Summer Shoot-Out. With each driver passing ten other competitors during the feature event, Bryce Haugeberg and Brandon Smith would share the hard-charging award.
After the week-long points were tallied, Braden Chiaramonte would also gain the overall title for the Lucas Oil POWRi Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints Summer Shoot-Out by gaining a heat race victory every night, two runner-up finishes, and finalizing the four-day swing with an outstanding feature win. Runner-up for the Shoot-Out Standings would see Grant Sexton keep California one-two in the placings with the Minn-Kota wheelman Bryce Haugeberg rounding out the point’s podium finishers.

Next up for the Lucas Oil POWRi Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints will be a two-day stay at the familiar running grounds of Buffalo River Speedway, in Glyndon, Minnesota, on Saturday, August 28th and Sunday, August 29th.
Representing the Lucas Oil POWRi Midwest Lighting Sprints proudly during the Summer Shoot-Out, competitors for the region will now shift their focus back towards the quick-times of Central Missouri Speedway, in Warrensburg Missouri, on Saturday, August 21st marking the end of season push for points.
Showing speed all week the drivers of the Lucas Oil Southwest Lighting Sprints will travel back to Barona Speedway, in Lakeside California, on Saturday, August 21st for wingless competition at the familiar running grounds known for fast-paced action.
Exhibiting strong performances against other national drivers the Lucas Oil POWRi Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprints will now journey back to Colorado with a stop at Honor Speedway, in Pueblo Colorado, for non-wing racing on Saturday, September 4th.
