Setters Doing Double Duty This Weekend at Electric City Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – SPIRIT LAKE, Idaho (Aug. 9, 2021) – James Setters is heading into one of his busiest weekends of the season.

Setters will race double duty this Friday and Saturday at Electric City Speedway in Great Falls, Mont., during the Sprint Car Shootout. He will pilot his family owned sprint car during the 360ci sprint car portion and a car owned by Mike Quigley in Rocky Mountain Sprint Car Series action each night.

“It definitely helps and hurts in some ways,” he said. “You get a better feel for the track because you’re out there twice as much. However, it hurts in a way because you have so much more work doing two cars.”

Setters has done double duty once in his racing career as he drove from 12th to fourth during the Rocky Mountain Sprint Car Series main event before ending with a DNF in 360 competition in August 2019 at Electric City Speedway.

This year he enters leading the Rocky Mountain Sprint Car Series standings thanks to a trio of victories. Setters has also put together some solid runs in 360 action, including a career-best outing – sixth – with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour last month.

“I feel like our 360 program is going pretty well,” he said. “We’ve had some success.

“The goal is to hopefully progress and compete for wins in both classes.”
