Hartland, Wisconsin (August 4th, 2021) – Coming off a fourth-place finish at the 38th annual King’s Royal with the World of Outlaws the B Squared Motorsports team hit the road for a sweltering hot seven-race stretch over a nine-day period in the Midwest with the All-Star Circuit of Champions. After the dust settled on a 10th place finish on the second night at Lake Ozark Speedway (Eldon, MO) and repairing the car after making contact with the wall during qualifying at Humboldt Speedway (Humboldt, KS), the team pulled out the backup car in an effort to find more speed at 34 Raceway (West Burlington, IA).

The change paid off immediately as the Anderson’s Pure Maple Syrup #17B driver qualified third and transferred to the Dash Redraw through the heart race at 34 Raceway. After winning the Dash Redraw and starting on the pole of the feature, the “North Pole Nightmare'' took control and led 20 laps of the A-main running the cushion on the outer edge of the speedway. Bill was unable to hold off Kerry Madsen (Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing) who used the bottom line of the racetrack to charge to the lead from the ninth starting position picked up the feature win. Balog secured his sixth podium finish of the year finishing third behind Madsen and All-Star Circuit of Champions point leader Tyler Courtney in the Clauson Marshall Racing No. 7BC after 30 laps.

“It’s been a hot and frustrating week. At the halfway point at 34 Raceway, we knew we weren’t quite good enough to win, but it was good to get the car hooked up, find speed and race at the front. We still have some work to do before heading to Knoxville for the Nationals. I have to thank Scott Bonar for contributing to our shock package and letting us use his shop at Midland Performance (West Burlington, IA) to get away from the heat and work on the car.” said Balog, driver of the CK Contractors LLC, Buesser Concrete, Wisecup Siding, Howard Law sprint car.

On the final night of the Midwest tour and in advance of the 60th Annual Knoxville Nationals, Bill and the team collected a B-Main win, and expanded their notebook at the famed Knoxville Raceway.

“There have been a ton of people helping make this season possible and I have to thank all our partners, Sandra and Jim McGee for their help this week and thank Skyler Gee as we have probably overused his shock dyno throughout the ASCoC season,” said the 10X IRA Sprint Car champion.

Bill and the team currently sit in 6th place in ASCoC season points standings.

Upcoming Racing Schedule:
Bill and B Squared Motorsports will take a week off to expand on the success of their Kings Royal package and prepare for the 60th Annual Knoxville Nationals. The team will take to the track on Thursday, August 12th for their preliminary qualifying night in advance of the $150,000 to win Knoxville Nationals on Saturday the 14th in Knoxville, IA.

“We thought we would be better but we’re lucky to have time to work with Engler on our engine in advance of Knoxville. We’re looking forward to the Nationals and having Wayne Carini join us there. We have to thank him for his continued support of the team through the years.” said Balog.
