A Monday Night Mayhem event comes to Park Jefferson Speedway as the racetrack hosts the Fast Shafts IMCA Modifieds All Star qualifying event paying $1,000 to win. Drivers will be coming from around the area to tackle some of the best competition to be able to add their name to the ballot for the 2021 Fast Shafts IMCA All Star Race held later this year at the Boone IMCA Super Nationals.
A number of local IMCA Modified drivers will be gunning for the top spot, with a handful of drivers who have previously qualified. Drivers such as Chris Abelson, "Racer" Ricky Stephan and more have put their names forward in previous years by winning $1,000 to win events across the Upper Midwest. Cody Thompson, local Sioux City hot shoe, has already secured a spot in this years ballot but would love to take home more money and points as he challenges for the 2021 IMCA Modified Rookie of the Year title.
Joining the card on Monday are the J&J Fitting IMCA Stock Cars, the Z98 IMCA Sport Modifieds and the Q and Feather Again IMCA Hobby Stocks. All divisions will run a full night of racing for IMCA track, state, regional and national points. There is no draw fee.
Gates will open at 5pm with hot laps slated for 7pm and racing at 7:30. Adult tickets are $15, Seniors 65+ are $13 and children 6-16 are just $2. Pit passes are $30. A special candy toss will be held courtesy of Jefferson, South Dakota's favorite watering hole, Bud's Bar. For all the information go www.parkjeff.com
