Bryan Hulbert – AMARILLO, Texas (July 21, 2021) Making their annual trek to the Panhandle of Texas, the ASCS Elite Non-Wing Series presented by Abilene Powder Coating will take on West Texas Raceway in Lubbock on Friday, July 23 and Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo on Saturday, July 24.
A $2,000 to win showdown at West Texas Raceway, the money jumps to $5,000 to win at Route 66 Motor Speedway, along with bonuses for the highest finishing car with a RaceSaver Engine, highest finishing car, and driver based out of Amarillo, and the highest finishing green car. The night will also include bonuses to Heat Race winners, Hard Charger, and A-Feature lap money.
Looking back at the 2020 two-step, it was Burleson’s Keith Martin who dominated the weekend. Winning from seventh at West Texas, the No. 79 drove from ninth the following night at Route 66.
The Josh Bartlett Tribute and First Responders Night at West Texas Raceway, Friday, July 23, opens at 6:30 P.M. with racing at 8:00 P.M. (CDT) and includes USRA Limited Modifieds, Stock Cars, Street Stocks, and Jr Cyclones. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for Youth (6-18), and free for Kids five and under. The G.W. Elkins Southwestern Championship at Route 66 Motor Speedway, Saturday, July 24, opens at 5:30 P.M. with racing at 7:00 P.M. (CDT). In addition to the ASCS Elite Non-Wing Series, other classes on hand include AA&A Windshield USRA Limited Mods, Limited Late Models, and Air Compressor Solutions Street Stocks. The 2021 season is the 30th year of competition for the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network.
