Inside Line Promotions – BRANDON, S.D. (July 15, 2021) – Jack Dover moved into third place in the championship standings at Huset’s Speedway last Sunday thanks to his seventh top 10 of the season at the track.

Dover, who was driving for Rick and Chris Bowers, qualified ninth quickest and won a heat race to make the feature redraw. He pulled the No. 6 to start the Buffalo Wild Wings Northern Outlaw Sprint Association feature on the outside of the third row. Dover battled near that position throughout the race before finishing seventh.

“It was an efficient night,” he said. “We’d have liked to qualify better, but that still put us on the front row of a heat race and we won that to make the feature redraw so that’s the main objective. We needed to make a couple of changes to have a car that could move forward in the feature, but we were able to maintain against a pretty stout field so it was a positive night.”

The result moved Dover up one position in the Huset’s Speedway standings. He is only 38 points out of the lead.

Dover plans to return to his car for a pair of races this weekend. It begins on Friday at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn., with the Midwest Sprint Touring Series and Midwest Power Series before shifting to I-90 Speedway in Hartford, S.D., on Saturday for an MSTS Series show. The weekend wraps up with another trip to Huset’s Speedway on Sunday in the Bowers’ No. 81 sprint car.

“We’ve had successful trips to each track this season so we have high expectations going into this weekend,” he said. “Our goal is get back into Victory Lane and I feel confident we will have a shot at doing that all three nights.”
