Belleville, IL. (7/11/2021) Finding speed everywhere on the expertly prepared racing surfaces of El Paso County Raceway over the weekend, the Lucas Oil POWRi Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprints would once again rise to the occasion of talented driving displays. Notching his first win of the racing season Blair Cooper would reign supreme, winning his third feature event in the previous two years.
Early on-track battles would find Jenn Woods and Mike McMillen each gain heat racing victories to earn front-row feature starting positions. Pacing a stout field of POWRi RMLS around El Paso County Raceway would find both drivers vying for the top spot.
Side-by-side racing action throughout the field would be the trend of the event as Woods and McMillen would each spend time at the front as Blair Cooper would also be among the front-runners. Cooper would be able to separate himself from the field to earn his first win of 2021 with a very-fast Jenn Woods finishing in a heated battle for second as Mike McMillen would stay among the leaders all event to finish third.
Gaining speed each week Brady Balderson continues to impress with a solid fourth-place finish, as the picture of consistency Andy Flood rounded out the top-five at El Paso County Raceway with the Lucas Oil POWRi Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprints.
