Inside Line Promotions – COLUMBIA, Mo. (July 6, 2021) – Garet Williamson will pilot a pair of different race cars this weekend.

Williamson is heading to Randolph County Raceway in Moberly, Mo., for a winged sprint car event with the Sprint Invaders on Friday before he climbs into a midget on Sunday for a USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget Series show at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex in Sweet Springs, Mo.

The weekend begins on Friday for the Bryant Paver Motorsports driver at one of his favorite tracks.

“I love racing in Moberly,” he said. “It’s one of my favorites even though we don’t get to race there very often. We’ve ran second, third and had some really good runs there. We let one get away from us last year.

“The goal for this weekend is definitely a top five. It’d be nice to get our first win of the year. I think that’s very possible.”

Williamson will then make his debut with Dave Mac Motorsports at a familiar track on Sunday.

“I haven’t been in a midget in a long time and have probably only raced one four times,” he said. “It’s the first time in a national midget in a good car. I haven’t been in this nice of equipment so I’m excited. Also, it’s at my home town track where I grew up racing.”

Williamson was a regular at the dirt oval for a decade when he raced micro sprints, earning a pair of track championships and numerous feature victories at Sweet Springs Motorsports Park.

“I want to make the show and have some fun,” he said. “We’d like to get more experience in a midget this year so the first goal is to make the A Main and go from there.”
