After nearly 4 rain outs in Western PA this season, Colby Womer was able to step back in the seat of the Jim Perricone 10P. Jim has made multiple attempts to race the JBMotorsports 10P but coming up from Austin to be rained out was to expensive to make the attempt. Jim cancelled out of Western PA Speedweeks as the first two nights were rained out. A quick call to Colby who was available made the trip over from Central PA to race at Lernerville for night 3 of Speedweeks. Colby struggled in Qualifying and getting out of his heat race. With the help of Ryan Smith's crew chief Jeremy Bitner, they were able to tune the motor correctly to the humid air that night. In the B Main Colby took off and came up 0.03 seconds short of winning B Main number 2. Colby would start 24th in the feature and finished a decent 17th. A total of 37 cars showed up for the speedweek event at Lernerville. We thank Thoma Meat market for their support of running Lernerville Speedway.
Jim will be back in the seat for this coming Friday June 18th at Lernerville for the mid-season championship. Jim will also make the trip up to Michaels Mercer Raceway on Saturday June 19th for the Rick Hall Memorial. The 410 Sprints paying $2500 to win will be part of the program on Saturday. We thank Bobby Siegel, Tim with Thoma Meat Market and J&J Auto Racing for your generous support.
