Belleville, IL. (06/14/2021) Traveling back to the familiar fast laps of Central Missouri Speedway, the Lucas Oil POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprint competitors would battle around the Warrensburg Missouri track as Chase Fischer would get back to the winning formula by notching his fourth win of the season.
Heat racing action would find Chase Fischer and Chasity Younger both grab the early wins as Jeff Bard and Younger would make up the front row and lead the field to the initial feature start as Bard was able to gain the early advantage.
Breaking out into one of the more intense and exciting races of the season, the Lucas Oil POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints would battle for every position. With early pace-setter Jeff Bard attempting to drive away from the field, a late-race caution would bunch the competitors back together with less than five laps remaining.
With Bard out front, Chase Fischer would use a restart to his advantage, grabbing the lead with an outstanding high-side run. Fischer would hold on to the top-spot the remaining circuits to win his seventh career POWRi MLS feature with Bard finishing second and Bobby Layne third. Mark Billings and Kenny Bowers would battle to the checkers with Billings placing fourth and Bowers rounding out the Central Missouri Speedway top-five finishers for the Midwest Lightning Sprints.
