Mt Pleasant, MI – Qualifying 4th quick and finishing 2nd in his heat race, Brendon Cascadden (Traverse City, MI) pulled it all together to take the checkered flag at Great Lakes Lightning Sprints presented by Maxima Racing Oils first visit to Mt Pleasant Speedway last Friday night.
With 17 cars registered last Friday, the 84 car, driven by veteran Bill Dunham (Bellevue, MI), set fast time with a 14.668 second lap. Jac Nickles (Harrod, OH), driving in the yellow 31 car, was second quick, with Chuck Erickson (South Boardman, MI), Cascadden and Johnny Roberts (Wheeler, MI) rounded out the top 5.
In the Engler Machine & Tool Heat 1, Mack Erickson (South Boardman, MI) takes the checkered flag, with Dunham and Matt Cogley (Findlay, OH) rounding out the top 3.
Jac Nickles starting 4th in the Beacon & Bridge Markets Heat 2, takes the win, with Cascadden and Bud Schrader (Benzonia, MI) rounding out the top 3.
In the Maximum Racing Oil Feature, Cascadden takes the checkered flag and his first win of the season. Driving all the way up from 14th, Alex Cogley (Findlay, OH) was chasing down Cascadden and finished 2nd. Schrader, Dunham and Mack Erickson rounded out the top 5 finishers.
Next up for GLLS will be Hartford Speedway this Friday, June 11th and Saturday, June 12th at Crystal Motor Speedway.
