Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (June 8, 2021) – Brian Brown heads into the Brownells Big Guns Bash on the heels of his fifth podium finish of the season at Knoxville Raceway last Saturday.
Brown earned a World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series win at Knoxville Raceway on June 14, 2019, and is looking to duplicate his success this weekend.
June 5 – Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa – Qualifying: 2; Heat race: 1 (6); Feature: 3 (3).
“It started off during the day with the National Hall of Fame induction ceremony,” Brown said. “One of our own, Don Lamberti, who is the founder of Casey’s and a huge supporter of our team, was inducted. We were excited to be there for him. It was an awesome class and everybody was very deserving. I was lucky to be able to race with Jeff Swindell, Greg Hodnett and Tim Shaffer.
“At the track we started off the night second quick. We started sixth in our heat and won it. We tried something in the feature we hadn’t really tried before that we wanted to try. It wasn’t as good as our core package. We have that out of the way and off the table.”

“We’re looking forward to getting qualified well and hopefully that can set us up for two successful nights,” Brown said. “We’re definitely where we need to be. At the end of last year after The One and Only event we sat down and said we’re not good enough to beat those guys consistently. What do we need to change on the cars to make the better? I feel like we’ve made them better. Every single night we’ve tried some things. Some things have worked and some things haven’t.
“I feel like we’re done testing at this point. We’ve done that up to this point. Every time we’ve hit the track it’s been with some things different to learn as much as we could. Now you have to settle in on a core package and try to make that work, tinkering with that core package rather than making wholesale changes.”
