Belleville, IL. (05/26/2021) The weather has cleared up and on tap this weekend, the Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget League will gear up to head back to one of the biggest tracks on the schedule, Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, MO. Alongside the Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget League will be the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series National Tour Presented by MAVTV for the two-day spectacular Memorial Weekend race.
Keith Kunz Motorsports drivers have been off the charts this 2021 season, winning seven out of the nine races the National Midgets have competed in. Michael “Buddy” Kofoid stands at five wins this season, alongside his teammate, Daison Pursley who has two wins thus far in 2021. Only two drivers have been able to break the KKM winning streak, one being Jake Neuman at Port City Raceway and Emerson Axsom at Lucas Oil Speedway.
Daison Pursley continues to lead the Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget League points battle into this two-day show Saturday & Sunday, May 29th and 30th. Emerson Axsom strays 170 points from the leader, and Bryant Wiedeman sits in third, 240 points behind Pursley.
