Arnold Takes in Two Nights of Action

PETERSEN MEDIA- Over the weekend, Miranda Arnold and her Arnold Motorsports team were busy as Miranda competed in races in Nebraska at McCool Junction and Eagle Raceway.

Saturday night, McCool Junction started the night off very narrow in heat race action, as Miranda started and finished in the fifth spot, giving her no passing points and forcing her to the B, main for one final shot at the feature.

In the B, Arnold lined her Mid-Mo Auto Sales/Impact Signs, Awnings, & Wraps/ButlerBuilt backed entry up in the fourth spot.

Early in the feature, Arnold and Dover hooked up in a very entertaining duel for the fourth spot, but Miranda held him off, and made her way to the feature event.

In the feature, Miranda was marred deep in the field of the star studded feature event.

As the race got underway, Miranda was able to make a few moves, and keep her nose clean as she was able to get up to the 18th spot right behind Lucas Oil, ASCS National Tour competitor, Seth Bergman.

Saturday night the scene shifted to Eagle Raceway, for the Nebraska Cup.

The Eagle Raceway proved to be much more racy, as Miranda was able to charge from the seventh starting spot to a fourth place finish at the stripe, sending her directly to the feature with a fifth row starting spot.

The start of the feature saw Miranda get a very strong start, as she quickly jumped to the eighth spot, where she was pressuring Brady Bacon for the seventh spot.

Miranda was able to get seventh, and began racing with Tony Bruce, Jr for the sixth spot, when she lost the handle as she entered the bottoms of turn one and two.

Though she was able to keep her car running, the yellow flag flew for her, and she was relegated to the tail end of the field.

Over the last portion of the race, Arnold was able to fight her way back through the field back to the 11th spot salvaging her night, and her weekend.

“I have to thank my family, and my entire crew for all their help this weekend,” said Miranda. “We have had some awful luck as of late and to not have any problems this weekend feels great.”

Miranda would like to thank Mid-Mo Auto Sales, Impact Signs, Awnings & Wraps / impact4800.com, Alliance Performance Group, ButlerBuilt, K&N Performance, Champion Oil, Vortex Race Products, Hooker Harness, Don’s Truck Towing, Hoosier Tire, Fastenal, Ralph’s Sandblasting, Ti64, Weld Wheels, Buso’s AA Muffler Shop, State Fair Moving and Storage, Xtreme Fuel Sticks, and CIP Race Bodies for their continued support in 2011.
