by John Rittenoure - TULSA, Okla. (May 17, 2021) - Its North vs. South when the AmeriFlex / OCRS IMCA Sprint Cars invade 81 Speedway on Saturday.
It will be a night of exciting sprint car racing when the OCRS Sprint Cars combine forces with the POWRi United Rebel Sprint Series (URSS). It is basically Oklahoma vs. Kansas and the teams will be racing for $1,000-to-win in the A-Feature and a guaranteed $250-to-start.
After six shows Casey Wills of Sperry, Oklahoma leads veteran Danny Wood of Norman in the AmeriFlex / OCRS IMCA points race. They are followed by Oklahomans Terry Easum and two-time defending champion Zach Chappell in third and fourth respectively. And all four are still looking for their first win of the season. Joe Bob Lee sits in fifth and has one win this season which came in the season opener. Lee also leads the Oklahoma IMCA point standings.
The URSS has only logged one show for 2021 and Ty Williams is on top of the standings after winning the season opener at Dodge City Raceway Park on April 24. Jeremy Hush, Taylor Velasquez, defending champion Zach Blurton and Mike Woodruff round out the top five.
