Weather Ruins POWRi MLS Lake Ozark Visit with I-35 Speedway Approaching

Belleville, IL. (05/16/2021) Hindered by the cancelation of Lake Ozark Speedway’s Season Opener, the Lucas Oil POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints now shift their focus to the familiar running grounds of I-35 Speedway in Winston Missouri on Saturday, May 22nd.

Currently, within the POWRi MLS Chase Fischer has maneuvered his way to three of the four feature event victories with Bobby Layne joining in on the winning as well. Riding the wave of momentum to the top of the season standings Fischer stays ahead of Layne by over twenty points. Tony Layne, Tyler Johnson, and Jeff Bard round out the present season points standings.

Up next for the Lucas Oil POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints will be a return trip to the series home venue of I-35 Speedway in Winston, Missouri on Saturday, May 22nd in the penultimate event leading up to the POWRi Lightning Sprint Nationals. Classes scheduled to compete include the Lucas Oil POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints, USRA Modifieds, USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, Economy Mods, Midwest Limited Late Models, Sport Compacts, and Pure Stocks for a full slate of evening racing.

Saturday, May 22nd at I-35 Speedway Lake Ozark Speedway Season Opener Details:
Pits Open: 4:00 PM
General Admission: 5:00 PM
Drivers Meeting: 6:00 PM
Hot Laps: 6:30 PM
