Belleville, IL. (05/15/2021) Due to forecasted precipitation and low temperatures after sundown predicted, POWRi and Central Missouri Speedway officials have postponed the event originally scheduled at the speedy oval for Saturday, May 15th with the Lucas Oil POWRi Wingless Auto Racing Sprint League. Officials are currently reviewing possible make-up dates in the latter part of the 2021 schedule. Rescheduled date will be finalized in the following week.
“Our biggest fear is that we get all the big haulers in our pits and then have the rain set in with everyone trying to get out at the same time,” said Sam Stoecklin, promoter of Central Missouri Speedway. Adding, “The cooler overnight temperatures and 100% chance of rain in the evening here in Warrensburg, it was the best decision for us and POWRi to look for a future date.”
The Lucas Oil POWRi WAR Sprint League, as well as the Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget League and the Lucas Oil POWRi Outlaw Micro’s presented by Engler Machine and Tool, will next see racing action at Charleston Speedway in Charleston, Illinois, in a two-night stay on May 21-22 for the ILLIANA Showdown.
