Driever Focusing on ASCS Frontier Region in First Full Season in 360 Sprint Cars

Inside Line Promotions – MERIDIAN, Idaho (May 13, 2021) – Tyler Driever is embarking upon the biggest season he’s ever tackled in sprint car racing.

The 18-year-old has put together a schedule consisting of approximately two dozen 360ci sprint car races, including the entire ASCS Frontier Region slate. Additionally, Driever hopes to compete throughout the Western Sprint Tour Speedweek in Oregon this July and he will be joining the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour when it races in Washington and Montana in June and July.

“We have a lot of races lined out,” he said. “It’s about every single weekend in the summer. The last two years we’ve split our time between 360 sprints and limited sprints, but we sold our limited engine so it’s just 360 racing now.”

This season will mark the first time that Driever has raced for points with the ASCS Frontier Region. He earned two top 10s during his first two career starts with the series last year.

“We want to get more exposure and get a few wins,” he said. “Our goal is to compete to win the series. I’ve raced at most of the tracks we’ll go to. There’s a couple in Montana and one in Utah I haven’t raced at, but I feel pretty comfortable going into the season.”

The ASCS Frontier Region has a 17-race schedule that runs from June 11 to Sept. 11. In the meantime, Driever is racing whenever he can. He currently has five races under his belt this season with a top performance of fourth place at Cottage Grove Speedway in Cottage Grove, Ore., on April 23.

The career-best run gives Driever momentum as he will return to the dirt oval this Saturday for his sixth race of the season. It marks the 17th career 360 sprint car start for the 2020 Interstate Sprint Car Series Rookie of the Year.
