While some driver do not work on there own cars or prepare them. That's where Shawn Wright is different, last night Shawn and Matt Durica worked until eleven to make sure that everything was ready for this weeks big races.
Shawn will be in competition on Wednesday with Civil War and making his non wing debut on Thursday for the Tiner Classic. Last night I had the chance to talk with Shawn about this year. We talked about how rough this year has been from crashing at Quincy to the trailer being robbed not once but twice. " You know through-out this year we have had many ups and downs" commented Shawn " But we always keep our heads up and moving forward."
When talking to Shawn and Matt last night they both agreed that Kristi and Dennis Wright are the best owners/parents a driver and crew could ask for. With the year being as rough as it has been alot of owners would have pulled the plug. But not Kristi and Dennis they just keep on moving forward. Shawn and Matt both believed they are blessed to have Kristi and Dennis.A special thanks also goes to Robert Mclane and Ron Singh for all there help too.
The Wright Process, A.R.T. Chassis, BR Suspension and tuning, A D Landscaping number 99 sprint car will be in action at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California. The team is currently in the 13th position in points in the Civil War Sprint Car Series. "Were going to try and get into the top ten in points before the end of the year" Shawn stated on Tuesday when asked about their point standings.
