Orville, OH (Saturday, April 24, 2021) - Saturday night's Great Lakes Super Sprints presented by Engine Pro and ARP (GLSS) race from Wayne County Speedway (WCS) has been suspended due to weather. A persistent rain and changed forecast for more rain through the evening forced officials with GLSS and WCS to suspend Saturday's racing.
22 GLSS cars made the pull to WCS for tonights race, many looking forward to running here for the first time. Talking to owner, Barry Marlow, he said of his members, "None of our guys want to drive to a track and not race, but our group wants to support GLSS and todays turnout shows that!"
Officials are working to find a suitable reschedule date for both parties, however as of now, no reschedule date has been announced. The next event for GLSS is the Wing Fling co-sanctioned event with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series on Friday and Saturday, May 7th and 8th at I-96 Speedway.
