Belleville, IL. (04/08/2021) Opening the 2021 racing season with a great double-header weekend of on-track action, the POWRi Lucas Oil Midwest Lightning Sprints will welcome the beautiful racing weather scheduled as picturesque Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex welcomes racers on Friday, April 9th, and Saturday, April 10th.
Moving into the third full season of outstanding POWRi sanctioning competition, the Midwest Lightning Sprints have continued to grow year in and year out while competition remains close every event. Last season would see Stanley Kreisel stretch a commanding lead in the points championship, winning eight features on his way to claiming the series title. As the 2021 racing season kicks off will anyone separate themselves for an early-season push for a championship over the opening weekend at the speedy one-sixth mile oval?
