Inside Line Promotions – TULSA, Okla. (April 6, 2021) – Frank Flud powered to a pair of feature victories and six podium finishes last weekend when he competed in a trio of micro sprint divisions at Port City Raceway.

Flud’s Non-Wing triumph on Friday and Outlaw win on Saturday give him eight victories this year. His stout weekend also extended his podium streak to 13 straight races.

“It’s definitely rewarding every week to accomplish the goals you set for yourself every night,” he said. “Watching the development team succeed is just as rewarding.

“I’m very fortunate to have a team and family behind me that we were able to put it on the podium in every race and be in contention for the win. I know that doesn’t come easy by any means.”

The highlight on Friday was the Non-Wing division as Flud hustled from eighth to second place in a heat race before winning the feature from the third starting position.

“That race was a hard-fought battle between the top three,” he said. “Finally with around six laps to go I got the lead and maintained. I didn’t run away with it, but they didn’t gain on me.”

Flud finished second in the Outlaw and Winged ‘A’ Class divisions as well.

He was one spot better in the Outlaw feature on Saturday.

“I got lucky,” he said. “The leader got collected with lapped traffic. They got bottled up and I was able to get around them.”

Flud placed second in the Winged ‘A’ Class feature and third in the Non-Wing main event.

Next up is a trip to Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex in Sweet Springs, Mo., with the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division this Friday and Saturday.

“Obviously we want to win every time we’re on the track, but I feel like our team is as strong as it’s ever been,” he said. “It’s definitely different going to Sweet Springs because you aren’t sure who races how. It’s a challenge when you’re not somewhere you’re used to and they have a local group that knows the ropes. It makes it harder to know when to look for a pass or to go for one.”
