Bryan Hulbert – ELDON, Mo. (April 6, 2021) Runner-up to open his weekend at Lake Ozark Speedway, Dylan Westbrook fought an onslaught of challenges Saturday night to better his position by one with the ASCS Sooner and Warrior Regions.
“It was good track time, especially since we have a National Tour race there later this year,” stated Dylan. “We didn’t want to tear anything up, so I was being careful, but this team wanted that win.”
Exchanging the point numerous times over the 30-lap affair with Blake Hahn and Ryan Timms, the trio ran breakneck speeds through traffic.
“On open track, I felt good, but once I got into traffic, I knew someone was going to be coming up behind me. I was having to slow down more than I really wanted to get around the lapped cars, and that’s when Hahn and Timms showed up, but it was a really good race throwing slide jobs at each other. That was really the most fun I’ve had racing in a while.”
Looking to this weekend, the Hills Racing Team No. 47x will be at Boothill Speedway in Louisiana with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network. A first-time visit for the Canadian shoe to the Shreveport oval, Dylan has been watching videos to get an idea of how the track races.
Dylan Westbrook is a part of the Canadian-based Hills Racing Team. The 2021 season marks the 17th year of racing for Dylan Westbrook. Starting with Dirt Bikes and Go-Karts at age five, Dylan has been behind the wheel of a Sprint Car for seven years. Four championships as Ohsweken Speedway since 2015, Westbrook made the jump to the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network in 2020, earning the Brodix National Rookie of the Year.
