Inside Line Promotions – PAIGE, Texas (March 26, 2021) – Brian Brown highlighted the Drydene Texas Two-Step Presented by American Lube Supply a week ago Friday with a season-best result of 11th to kick off a World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series doubleheader.

Up next for the team is a World of Outlaws show in Brown’s home state of Missouri this Saturday when Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon hosts the Jason Johnson Classic.

March 19 – Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige, Texas – Qualifying: 12; Heat race: 2 (4); Dash: DNF (3); Feature: 11 (5).

“It started off decent as we qualified 12th and we were able to go from fourth to second in the heat,” Brown said. “That got us into the dash, which is a good spot. When you’re learning every opportunity on the track helps. In the dash we started third and got run over from behind. We did everything but turn over so we got lucky there. We were able to fix as much as we could with the time we had allotted. We went out for the feature and ran solidly in the top five to top seven most of the race and then faded to 11th, but we knew we had some things on the car that weren’t 100 percent right because of the time frame we had.”

March 20 – Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige, Texas – Qualifying: 10; Heat race: 4 (4); Feature: 16 (10).

“We got thrown a little bit of a curveball from the time we unloaded,” Brown said.”It was very slick from the get-go. Chad and Nate did a good job of making some pretty big changes between hot laps and qualifying. It was probably one of the slicker conditions we’ll see in qualifying. We did a good job to get 10th quick. The heat race was the same scenario as Friday night. I was able to get into a dash spot in second, but I didn’t get up on the track soon enough. I let Brent Marks back by and had a good race with James McFadden at the end. He snuck by at the checkered. I didn’t do a good enough job as a driver to stay in second. In the feature we tried a little something to try to hit a home run. We knew it was going to lay rubber. We just missed it a little. Overall, it was a decent night. I feel like we wouldn’t have qualified and ran as well in the heat last year as this year so I feel like we’re gaining.”

UP NEXT – Saturday at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo., for the Jason Johnson Classic with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series

“Jason was a big part of our sport,” Brown said. “I’m looking forward to getting back and racing in front of our hometown crowd. A lot of our local partners are in that area – Ditzfeld Transfer, Champion Oil, Impact Signs, Awnings, Wraps – so a lot of local people who support us will be there. I’m looking forward to getting there and representing all our partners and hopefully having a good run and honoring Jason.”
