Inside Line Promotions – MONROE, La. (March 17, 2021) – Brian Brown is taking the positive out of another weekend on the road with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series.

Although the feature results weren’t what Brown wanted during his debut at the two tracks in the South, the team is making gains and is optimistic heading into another first-time track this weekend.

March 12 – Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Miss. – Qualifying: 8; Heat race: 4 (2); Feature: 14 (16).

“We started off good,” Brown said. “I think we were fourth quickest hot lapping and were eighth quickest qualifying. We started on the outside front row of the heat race and probably the outside wasn’t the place to start in the heats because the inside row got better starts in pretty much every heat. We slipped back to fourth. In the feature we haven’t quite got a balance in the back half of the features. We feel like we have some good speed the first half and then after that we are just hanging on. Chad, Nate and myself are working hard to get the balance for the full 30 laps. We were a top-10 car the first half of the race, but we ended up 14th. It was a great crowd and good facility. It was cool to get back in that area.”

March 13 – The Rev in Monroe, La. – Qualifying: 11; Heat race: 4 (4); Feature: 15 (11).

“It was a real cool facility and awesome to see a full crowd there,” Brown said. “It was jam-packed. It’s awesome to see that after what we went through last year.

“It was pretty much the same deal as the night before. We were on the verge of the top 10, I think 11th the whole race, and then as we got going late we got spinny and ended up 15th.”

UP NEXT – Friday and Saturday at Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige, Texas, for the Drydene Texas Two-Step Presented by American Lube Supply with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series

“We’re definitely working hard on our package to make sure we’re good the whole 30 laps, but like I said in a tweet recently the World of Outlaws is the hardest it’s been in a little while,” Brown said. “From top to bottom you have guys that are on top of their game. Anybody that rolls through the gate has an opportunity to win. We need to be on our game. I haven’t been here, but I have been able to watch some video. It looks like a real cool place and I’m looking forward to another weekend of Outlaws racing and another opportunity to learn. Our results probably don’t show the gains we’re making right now, but as every weekend goes by we’re learning a lot. We’re looking forward to putting what we’ve learned to test again this weekend and see how we’ll do against the Outlaws.”

SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT – Weld Wheels

Founded in a Kansas City garage in 1967, WELD was the result of a relentless pursuit of speed, durability and safety. Highly successful sprint car driver Greg Weld was unable to find the right combination of strength and performance in wheels that were being made so he decided to make his own.
Fifty years later, a lot has changed, but the values of WELD remain. Its production facility is less than a mile from Pappy Weld’s Speed Shop where Greg’s race cars were built and his passion for performance continues to fuel the company today. Innovation lives on in its industry leading products and relentless pursuit of speed and strength. For more information, visit http://www.WeldWheels.com.

“I think we have 160-plus wins and every single win I’ve had is with Weld Wheels,” Brown said. “They are not only the lightest wheel, but the most durable. We switched to the black wheel this year and everybody seems to like the switch. Weld Wheels has been a long-term supporter and we appreciate them.”
