Belleville, IL. (03/11/2021) As the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League is gearing up to start the season, teams and drivers are thrashing to come together and conquer the 40 races on the schedule. Ryan Timms, the 14-year-old out of Oklahoma City, OK. joined forces with CBIndustries to compete for Rookie of the Year with POWRi.
With a little over a handful of races in a midget during the 2020 season, Timms also has a successful background behind the wheel of Micros and Sprint cars. “I think racing & winning against the best micro-drivers in the country has prepared me to take this next step and be competitive right from the start.”
After the first few times behind a midget for Dave Mac Motorsports last season, Timms found himself making the big shows and learning every race. Late last season, Timms joined forces with CBI and ran a race at Millbridge Speedway against some of the best, only to run full time for the team for the 2021 season.
Ryan Timms will be joining CBI for a full season for the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League for 2021 he has some goals he personally wants to experience. “My goal for this season is to win POWRi rookie of the year & win a couple of POWRi races. I also plan to get as much experience as possible racing 360 & 410 sprint cars. I really like working with Chad & Colt. The cars at CBI are very well prepared.”
Catch Ryan Timms at Monarch Motor Speedway March 19th and 20th for the season opener with the POWRi Midgets. If you can’t be there, and don’t want to miss it all of the action will be LIVE on MAVTV Plus.
